What is a Mother? A carer, guide, protector, advocate, teacher... the list is
as endless as a mother's love. From the moment she meets her child, her whole life alters - there's shift in how she views the world - she sees is not through her eyes, but through the prism of motherhood. Her child is now the centre of her world, and every decision she makes thereafter, she will think of that.
We know all of this to be true, and feel our mother's love in us everyday. But how often do we tell her exactly how much she means to us? How do we express our gratitude to her for the little sacrifices has made for us since the moment we met?
Every time she held your hand to cross the street
Every time she picked you up when you fell off your feet
Every time she gave you a reassuring glance
Every time she clapped when you showed off your dance
Every meal she has prepared - sometimes good, sometimes bad
Every phone call home when you're feeling a bit sad
Every night she mopped your fevered brow
Every time she let pass the things she wouldn't usually allow
Every lift to football for you and your friends
Every time she taught you how to make amends
Every kissed and cuddle when you've bruised your knee
Every smile to hide her tears she won't let you see
Every joyous moment you spend together
Treasure it now, it won't last forever.
